USING YOUR MYINTENT MAKER KIT
“The work of today is the history of tomorrow, and we are its makers.”
Juliette Gordon Low
We've also created a downloadable worksheet to use with your troops to support meaningful conversation, reflection, and finding each person's WORD!
READY TO GET STARTED?
Here are a few stories of what Troop Leaders have created with their Troops!
MATCH MADE IN PATCH HEAVEN
For our Anti-Bully patch, the girls will look for the good in others and each other, come up with one word for each other, and create a necklace.
"Making End of the Year gifts for my Girl Scouts. A couple girls are switching schools, so I wanted something to give them to give them some comfort in their new school - words that we thought would good for them. For our Anti-Bully patch, instead of the traditional "Words can Leave Marks" exercise, the girls will look for the good in others and each other, come up with one word for each other, and create a necklace."
A NEW WAY TO RAISE FUNDS
Cub Scout Pack 18 has been LOVING Myintent!
"Cub Scout Pack 18 has been LOVING Myintent! We started with practice making Hero bracelets for Firefighters... now we are up and running with a Fundraiser for our pack making the custom bracelets and keychains!
I love the ability for my Cub Scout boys to share the love by creating everyone’s Word!"

GIRLS LEADING GIRLS
Troops spreading what's important all around the world!
"World Thinking Day is a day that we come together with other troops and celebrate Girl Scouts and Girl Guides around the world. Troops who attend choose a country that has Girl Scouts in it and represents that country with a booth - a display about the country, artifacts, snacks, dress, etc. There is also a world theme to the event each year and this year was Female Leadership. So some of the troops also represented a female leader from their chosen country. This was where we gave our the MyIntent bracelets to the girls after we went through events on how to be a leader in your world and community."
Creating a tangible reminder for the Cub Scouts!
"I just came back from a Webelos Cub Scout camp. I made thank you “dangles” for their uniforms after their Camp experience."
Gifts with an inside story
Giving WORDs of encouragement
"When you lead a group of 13-14 year old Girl Scouts, what do you gift them for Christmas? We chose to gift them with words of encouragement! We know these young ladies very, very well...some of them wanted the story behind the word we chose - and most of them just knew.
You Are Enough - this Scout has dealt with some pretty heavy bullying in school. It's a reminder to her, that no matter what, she IS enough.
Be the Change-she deals with great adversity being biracial in a primarily caucasian community. She is beautiful and talented - and she IS changing things!
Balance - our performing arts Scout has a lot on her plate - it's her reminder to find balance.
Passion - this particular scout does all things with great passion and dedication. It's her reminder to LOVE what she does! "
