FUN FAMILIES GOING DEEP

Everyone really loved it!! Some people really poured their heart out. It was such a great experience and a welcome change from the family who usually cuts up and cuts down as a form of interaction.

"I sent a group text letting everyone know that I planned to do this with them and shared a link that you emailed to give a little info about the company and to help them to begin to think about their Word.
My husband and I did ours before everyone arrived to show them our finished bracelet and shared our learnings from stamping them. As people arrived, I invited them to the spot where we were doing to project and asked their word. If they didn’t know their word I gave them a few of the cards and encouraged them to flip through as they thought of their intention for their life over the next year. If they still needed help, I suggest they talk to someone else who already did their word and ask them how they chose their word.
I asked that everyone have their word done by dinner time so that we could use the space to eat as well as be able to have conversation about them at the table.
Also, a few min before dinner, I shuffled the cards and placed under each dinner plate. Then when it seemed like the meal was finished I asked who was finished and the first person who answered to look under their plate and read their card aloud and answer. Some were funny, some were short, some we had to come back to but there were some who really poured their heart out. It was such a great experience and a welcome change from the family who usually cuts up and cuts down as a form of interaction. Everyone really loved it!! I’m grateful for the entire experience and the openness and growth we experienced as a family."

EVERY PERSON HAS THEIR OWN STORY

Each person enjoyed stamping their own bracelet and was very proud of their their work!!

"After thanksgiving dinner! We all sat around the table all ages and everyone participated! Each person had a story to tell! What their word meant to them! The kids had some funny words they joked about! The adults got a little deeper with their hearts! Each person enjoyed stamping their own bracelet and was very proud of their their work!! We all wore our bracelets all day! It was a huge highlight to our day! Thank you we’ll be using this at other events! Brings a lot of fun and smiles out in others!"

CREATING SPACE FOR WORDS

Everyone grabbed some more pie; I brewed up some coffee, and we began to play.

"This year's  Neighborhood Thanksgiving was focused on“What’s your Word?" At first people were uneasy about talking about their personal life. We are all so good with surface conversation but sharing personal struggles, dreams with your neighbor event was a new concept.

During dinner the conversation would go from surface a conversation, then a topic would move someone to share as they were inwardly reflecting on their word. Dinner finished and people lingered. In the past people would say their thank you’s and go home, but I could tell they were all still thinking of their word so I pulled out the board games, Uno and dominoes. Everyone grabbed some more pie; I brewed up some coffee, and we began to play.

People began to laugh and share and make jokes and after a couple hours, they all said, "I think I have my word." Each one sat in a circle and shared their word. As I stamped their word you could feel the anticipation and great energy fill the room. I put the bracelets on each person and they just lit up !!

CHRISTMAS WITH A BIG FAMILY

It was a very emotional experience and I was blown away by how meaningful everyone’s words were."

"I purchased the kit to use as an activity for our family Christmas that I was hosting. There were 30+ of us. I sent everyone the info from your website about finding Their WORD so that they would have time to think about it. It was such a great activity. Everyone made their own bracelet. My husband even made a wooden stand to stamp on. After everyone was done, we shared our words. It was a very emotional experience and I was blown away by how meaningful everyone’s words were."
