When Beyoncé approached MyIntent’s booth at the Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch, our founder Chris Pan asked her what her word is.  She took a minute to think and said “hope,” after a moment she changed her word to “surrender.” Chris made both, a necklace for hope and a bracelet for surrender.

Chris made both because the bracelet is worn on your wrist, reminding you of what you want to invoke or need more of in your life.  The word on your necklace is worn close to your chest, symbolizing your heart.

Beyoncé speaks openly on how she surrenders in an MTV Documentary:

"I’m learning how to drown out the constant noise that is such an inseparable part of my life. I don’t have to prove anything to anyone, I only have to follow my heart and concentrate on what I want to say to the world."

MyIntent is an intentions project that helps people share their story with the world.

What’s your story? Help share it with the world by creating your word!
