14 Days of Self-Love pt. 3 | Kindness

You are more than halfway there! How do you feel after letting go of an expectation, a thought, or a memory? Do you feel a little bit lighter or more in a neutral space? Do you feel as though a weight has been lifted from your chest? Whatever you are feeling, you are exactly where you need to be.
With this newfound space we’ve created, we’re going to fill it up with KINDNESS towards ourselves. We are rewriting those thoughts to see who we are now, at this moment.
Inspired by Earl Nightingale in The Strangest Secret, think of the mind as a garden. We can plant anything in that garden, beautiful flowers or invasive weeds. Most of the time we plant a little bit of both. As we grow older and continuously “water” these negative or positive thoughts, our garden grows. In letting go, we’ve pulled out the weeds in our garden, and with all that space we can plant new plants. It’s now our choice whether or not to plant new weeds to take the place of the old, or to plant new flowers in that space instead. This is the importance of being kind to yourself. You are worth having kindness, compassion, and love towards yourself.
The next few days will be filled with being kind to yourself. If activities will seem silly, and let yourself be silly with them! This is about infusing that new space with joy and kindness!
